There was a fight and the Duke was killed.

Detchard was angry and tried to hit the king with his sword, but he fell down and

They are in the forest. Rupert has just killed Michael and ran away.
3-What was the plan that wasn't followed?
The plan is that Rassendyll attacks the castle bravely. Fritz and Sapt will die, and so will Michael and the King. That will leave two men alive:
Rupert and Rassendyll. Rassendyll will stay as the King, and Rupert will have a reward.
 
(7) «Get off your horse and fight like a man.

This is said by Rassendyll to Rupert.
2- Why is the speaker following him?
As he wanted to kill.himto fake revenge of him.
3-Whose horse is the other one riding?
It's the horse of the boy who is riding to market.
 
(8) «What you say is nonsense, the King's injured in the castle.»
1-Who says this to whom?
This is said by theMarshal to the boy whose horse Rupert took.
2-What is it that the speaker thinks is nonsense?
He doesn't think that the king is behind the tree as the boy says.
3-What dothey finally find?
They find that he isn't the King. He is the pretend king.
 
(9) «Come. It's time you came into the castle. We have much to discuss.

This is said by Sapt to the Princess.
2-What truth-is revealed now?
The truth is Rassendyll isn't really the King.
3-What are they going to discuss?
They are going to discuss what will be done during the next days, how they can take the King back to Strelsau, and how they can arrange a safe departure for Rassendyll.
